Embarking on Faith's Journey: The Kurdish Christian Church Story
Kurdish Christian Church, established in 2018, is a beacon of hope and spiritual refuge for the Kurdish community in San Diego County. Our purpose is to glorify God through religious services, teach the truths of the Bible, and foster discipleship.
Over the past 40 years, thousands of Kurds have found a home in America, seeking peace away from historical persecutions. Our church recognizes the unique needs of Christian and Muslim Kurds, viewing them as an unreached people group for the gospel.
Guided by Jesus' command in Mark 16:15, our vision extends beyond the pulpit. We aim to reflect Christ's image through diverse means, spreading the message of salvation far and wide.
At our core, we commit to being witnesses of the Lord Jesus on earth. Our mission focuses on establishing a spiritual home for Kurdish Christians and sharing the message of salvation with the broader Kurdish community.
Through language classes, citizenship assistance, and support services, we meet practical needs, providing a foundation for spiritual growth. Home visits, participation in holidays, and spiritual services create a sense of family and belonging within our community.
Our journey includes pioneering efforts like the first Kurdish church plant in America. We expand our reach through conferences, teachings in the Kurdish language, and inclusive celebrations like Thanksgiving.
Ministering among people with a Muslim background presents unique challenges. We actively address obstacles hindering acceptance of Jesus Christ, debunking myths about Christianity and fostering a deeper understanding of Christian principles.
We emphasize education on crucial topics, including the Trinity, the crucifixion of Christ, and the validity of the Bible. This extends to debunking myths about Islam and fostering a deeper understanding of Christian principles.
As we share our journey, we invite you to be part of it. Your prayers, support, and active participation contribute to evangelizing Muslim Kurds and planting churches. Join us in building a vibrant, multicultural church where all are welcome to explore faith and share unique gifts.
